A More Certain Optimistic Approach

My name is T.J. Bolt. I have been practicing dentistry for 19 years. I just moved into the West "O" area from 90th and Fort St. where I had opened my practice in 1984. There were many reasons for moving but the most important one was the concept of "Wellness" that Lakeside Health Park was trying to create because I also believe in wellness for my patients. The thing that I loved about the location where we built, were the trees that could be viewed from the treatment rooms that would help to add to the tranquil setting. I wanted to create an environment where people could feel safe, where there was time devoted to each patient to express themselves in their wants and needs. I find too often that practices today are hurried. Our patient lounge helps people feel relaxed. We took great strides in planning so that the office doesn't look like a dental office. All this helps people to relax in a sometimes potentially anxious setting.

We see one patient at a time, and by doing that our patients feel that they have time devoted to them in a caring manner. We find that by creating a plan for our patients looking five and ten years into the future, setting goals, helps people to have a more certain future. Dentistry can be very predictable for people if there is a good plan. Also helping people learn about the cause of disease and what they can do to prevent this helps create a more preferred future. Dental disease is not curable but it is preventable. It comes to those who take an active part in their health. Creating a collaborative relationship with the doctor and working towards the goals that are set by the patient creates long- term sustainable health. To be proactive with your health is the best medicine. It really works and we keep statistics that show that by creating this strategy it promotes long-term health and actually costs less through one's lifetime.

If you are seeking a new relationship with a dentist because you are new to the area or the relationship that you have is not meeting your needs, I invite you to interview us for an opportunity to benefit your long-term health. I can be reached at 572-8000.
